Military Careers

1.4 million+ people serve in the active Navy, Army, Air Force, and Marine Corps, and more than 1.1 million serve in the Reserves and the Air National Guard and Army National Guard.  In today's military, there are over 4,100 jobs available.  This is a very large range of jobs.  Military careers include operating a nuclear reactor, running a hospital, programming computers, commanding a tank, or repairing and maintaining a helicopter, just to name a few of the things .  The Armed Services hire a combined 365,000 people every year. Most of the said careers are similar to those found in the world of civilian work.
