The current Navy Army Federal Credit Union was chartered on January 28, 1955 as Naval Employees Corpus Christi Federal Credit Union. In 1972, it became Navy Army Federal Employees Federal Credit Union. Then in 1988, the name changed again to what is now the current name.
Navy Army Federal Credit Union is insured by the National Credit Union Administration
(NCUA), an independent agency of the United States Government. Each account is insured up to $100,000.
The asset size of Navy Army Federal Credit Union has grown to close to $272 million. Membership has grown to over 40,804, and deposits have increased from $56 Million in 1990 to close to $240 Million as of March 2004. Our outstanding loans have also climbed, from $29 Million in 1990 to over $209 Million as of March 2004.
Navy Army Federal Credit Union continues to grow each year. In 1996, they opened their main office on the southside of Corpus Christi (5725 Spohn Drive). In February of 2001, they opened the Crosstown Branch, located at 4802 Crosstown Expressway, adjacent to Crosstown Ford. They now have over 145 employees serving our members at SEVEN locations, in addition to other convenient member services such as ten 24-hour ATMs, Tel-R-Line, LoanLine and on-line services - Home Branch and Bill Payer.
